Do I need fellowship training to be considered?

Fellowship training is not required. We have both fellowship-trained and non-fellowship-trained radiologists on our team. We value strong clinical skills, work ethic, and cultural alignment.

Compensation & Benefits

How is compensation structured?

Call & Vacation

Can I take individual days off as needed?

Yes, with appropriate scheduling notice and coverage coordination.

How does vacation work?

Vacation is equally divided among partners and partnership-track radiologists. Selection order rotates quarterly. Employed physicians have defined PTO based on contract terms.

How much call is required?

Call responsibilities are shared equally among partners and partnership-track physicians.

How often will I be on call?

Call is equitably distributed among partners and partnership-track radiologists. Frequency depends on total group size and coverage needs.

When will I begin taking call?

Call participation typically begins after onboarding and orientation. Timing varies based on position and readiness.

Work Environment

Who handles IT support?

UnityPoint Health manages PACS-related support. Iowa Radiology maintains a dedicated internal IT team available 24/7 for all other technical needs.

What PACS and technology platforms do you use?

We currently use McKesson PACS for the majority of volume and Merge for a smaller segment. UnityPoint Health is planning a system transition within the next 1–2 years.
Voice recognition: PowerScribe 360.

Will I rotate between different locations?

Yes. We are a multi-site practice, and physicians may rotate between locations depending on service needs and subspecialty coverage.
