Founded in 2001 by a group of local physicians, Iowa Radiology was built on the belief that exceptional care begins with compassion. We combine advanced imaging technology with a patient-centered approach that prioritizes comfort, clarity, and understanding. All of our radiologists are board certified, and each of our facilities is American College of Radiology (ACR) accredited.
Delivering Insights That Guide Women’s Care
We are proud to employ breast fellowship-trained radiologists in Central Iowa, Dr. Gopika Myneni and Dr. Jill Westercamp, who oversee our breast imaging services. Their specialized training ensures the most precise interpretation of your images. Under their leadership, Iowa Radiology has developed a comprehensive, highly respected Women’s Imaging program, offering services from 3D mammography to breast MRI.
In 2014, Iowa Radiology earned the Breast Imaging Center of Excellence (BICOE) designation from the ACR, a distinction awarded to centers that achieve accreditation in all breast imaging programs in addition to mammography. This ensures our staff stay current on the latest technology and developments in breast imaging, and all physicians are board certified with specialized expertise in breast imaging.
As a BICOE facility, we also participate at no cost in the National Mammography Database, which allows us to benchmark outcomes, share best practices, and continually enhance the care we provide. At Iowa Radiology, imaging is only the beginning—we deliver meaningful insights that guide care, support providers, and empower patients to move forward with confidence.
Delivering Insights That Guide Care
Iowa Radiology offers a full spectrum of diagnostic and preventive imaging services, including open bore and closed MRI, CT scan, cardiac calcium scoring, virtual colonoscopy, DEXA bone density scans, digital mammography, 3D mammography, breast biopsy, breast MRI, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and general X-ray. Our outpatient imaging centers combine advanced technology with a patient-centered approach, providing expertise in a convenient and comfortable setting.
Because our facilities are outpatient-based, patients often benefit from lower fees. Locations in downtown Des Moines, West Des Moines, Clive, and Ankeny make it easy to find care close to home. Extended MRI hours are available Monday–Friday, 7am–5:30pm, with Saturday scheduling available for mammography and MRI.
